Tourist spot Kawarthalake
Kawartha Lakes |
There are many lakes in Canada. Every lake is different from one another. Specially, you cannot differentiate lake Canada’s beauty if you do not go to the ontario lakes. If you want to see the difference of beauty then you need to go to the lakes in Ontario. Now I want to introduce you about the kawartha lakes.
Many of the pretty towns in the kawartha lake vacation region have a good restaurant or two and,
usually a couple of antique dealers – bobcaygeon and Fenelon falls are two that
are worth dropping into if you’re up this way (the former also hosts a big
fiddle contest each july).
Nearby balsam lake is popular for swimming and fishing. At
Burleigh falls, who could resist a place called the lovesick café? It’s a
typical country shop with food, souvenirs, fishing tackle and the like.
The district has some interesting parks as well. Petroglyphs
provincial park (705-877-2552) has probably the best collection of prehistoric
rock carvings in the country. Rediscovered in 1954, there are reportedly 900
figures and shapes carved into the park’s limestone ridges.
The portions of the
collection which are easy to view are much smaller than the figure 900 might
suggest, and though interesting, it is not an overwhelming site. The most visible
have been enclosed to protect the rock from acid rain, a serious problem over
much of Ontario. The area and small lake within the park remain important
spiritual sites for the local native Indians.
Serpent mounds provincial park (705-295-6879) is the site of an ancient
native Indian burial ground. The warsaw caves conservation area contains
tunnels eroded into limestone and walking trails. Do not forget to visit in kawarthas
Ontario and kawarthas lakes. Enjoy the information of
city kawartha lakes.
