Travel Canada and visit CMCP
Wedged in between the Chateau Laurier and the canal, in a
reconstructed railway tunnel at 1 Rideau Canal, the CMCP is the photo museum.
Originally part of the National Film
Board, this is where the still photography
division houses its photographic research departments and the country’s vast
photographic archives.
Unfortunately, gallery space is limited, so you may want to
check what’s on before visiting. Exhibits are not always of Canadian’s work and
may not be of very much interest to the casual viewer unacquainted with esoteric
approaches to the photography medium.
Shows change quarterly.
