Now I want to introduce you about a most beautiful tourist spots of Canada. The name of the travel place is Canada national archives. You can find out the archives Canada different types of archives. Actually, archive Canada is like a musium.

The mandate of this institution at 395 Wellington St, is to collect and preserve the documentation of Canada. The Vast collection includes paintings, maps, photographs, diaries, letters, posters and even 60,000 cartoons and caricatures concerning Canadian history and people, culled from periodicals from the past two centuries. The exhibition rooms with varying displays are open daily, and are free.

At 136 St Patrick St, The National Archives in the Market, by the corner of Sussex Drove at the edge of Byward Market, presents changing exhibits featuring segments of the vast collection. It’s open from Wednesday to Sunday and is free. However, do not forget to visit the national archives.

This rather intimidating structure (613-995-5361) at 301 wellington St is partially open to nonlitigants. Visitors can stroll around the grounds, lobby and courtroom from 9 am to 5 pm weekdays. During summer a visit can include a free tour given by a law student. Call for the schedule. The rest of the year, reservations are required for tours. Construction of the home for the highest court of the land was begun in 1939 but not completed until 1946. The grand entrance hall, 12 m high, is certainly impressive.

Parliament Hill of Canada

Travel place Parliament Hill

Federal government buildings dominate downtown Ottawa, especially those on Parliament Hill off Wellington St, near the canal. The Parliament Buildings itself, with its Peace Tower and clock, is most striking.  Beside it are East and West blocks, with their sharp, green, oxidized copper-topped roofing.

Inside the parliament Building, the Commons and Senate sit and can be viewed when in session (which is not in summer).the interior is all hand-carved limestone and sandstone. See the beautiful library with its wood and wrought iron. Free 20 minute tours run frequently but reservations are required; be prepared for tight security, including metal detectors. In summer book the tour n the white tent out on the lawn; in winter there’s a reservation desk inside.
